Hello fellow IJP judges! As some of you maybe already saw here, MOJO (Magic Online Judge Open) is back!

Introduction

We have been in conversations for over a month so far with the MTGO team for possible ways of collaboration, including a dedicated meeting to share and align ideas with them.

One of the main goals we agreed with was bringing back MOJO after a few years of pause, and we proposed to find a common date to include all judges in the world at the same event, to aim at enjoying the event as the big worldwide community we are.

We knew the MTGO team was also in contact with JF and they agreed with the approach, so once we had a date and structure confirmed, it was shared with the rest of the current “regional associations” in the world to extend the invitation to their members if they were willing to join and… here we are!

How to Participate

We will collect a list of all IJP participants’ MTGO accounts from Judge Apps and will provide it to the MTGO team so they can set up the event. You will receive more info about this when we get closer to the event.

In the meantime, make sure you confirm that:

  1. You’re part of the IJP on Judge Apps. If not, you can do so now here.
  2. You have a personal Magic Online account. If you don’t, you can download the game client at mtgo.com, register your account, then purchase the Account Upgrade Kit ($4.99 USD) to turn on the game’s full function.
  3. You have your Magic Online username” in your Judge Apps profile. If not, go and update that info now so you don’t miss this chance 🙂

Closure

We hope you’re all as excited as we are to have MOJO back with us. As mentioned, we’ll come back with the final details to participate on this event when we get closer to it.

Of course, we want to give special thanks to the MTGO team who approached us to open conversations and made this possible.

There are a few other awesome collaborations with them that we’re currently closing details about. We will have news for you about the next one very soon, so stay tuned!
