November 2024 Call for Volunteers

A Program from Judges for Judges!

As we approach the first anniversary of the IJP and its first democratic elections, it’s time to pass more decision making and responsibility to the community.

Everything done in the International Judge Program is designed, made and carried out by volunteers and it is time for more volunteers to step up and continue shapìng the judge program.

The Program Leads are looking for some specific roles, but if you have different ideas, interests or skills you want to contribute to the Judge program, by all means contact us and let’s start doing great things!

We’re looking for volunteers for the following roles:

  • Level 4 Testing Manager. This person will be responsible to review the definition, certification and maintenance criteria for the IJP Level 4 at the end of 2024, as well as make decisions relative to exceptional circumstances that may arise on the Level 4 certification worldwide. Level 4+ required.
  • IJP Communication Manager, Lead and Members: It took us a while, but we’ve understood we need more help communicating better what we do from the leadership of the IJP, as well as help to listen to the community needs and preferences in a more organized way. To that end we are looking for a Communication Manager who can help streamline the information flow between program leadership and IJP members.
  • Translations coordinator: One of the IJP main priorities is providing relevant information to its members in languages they can read. We have an amazing team of translators, but we need someone taking responsibility for the logistics and coordination. Some WordPress knowledge, editor level, will be good to have.
  • Rules Guru: One of the key skills for a Magic Judge is knowing the rules. We would like to start a project to support the community on the most difficult rules and interactions to improve the overall quality of the judges. Right now we are looking for a project leader who is able and willing to define the specifics of how to reach these goals, as well as a team of experts who are able to contribute.
  • Policy Guru: Same as above, but for JAR, IPG and MTR documents.
  • Any project you find valuable for the Judge Community: if you believe something good for the community can be done, let’s do it!

If any of the described roles is you, please contact us and help us make this judge program the best it can be!
